(Contemporary 4-7) Lindsay Grey Leonard is a native North Carolinian who relocated to the Bay area in 2015. She began her ballet studies as a student under Marylin Cloutier and continued her dance training at Ballet Spartanburg, Atlanta Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet School, Walnut Hill School for the Arts, PULSE on Tour, American Dance Festival, and ODC. Lindsay initially studied Luigi jazz technique as a warm-up for ballet with Mrs. Cloutier and later trained under the legendary Francis Roach at both the Joffrey Ballet School NYC. For nearly 8 years, she taught modern jazz at the Ballet School of Chapel Hill before relocating to Oakland with her husband. In addition to her passion for early childhood education and teaching pre-ballet at Berkeley Ballet Theater, she is also dedicated to teaching contemporary and is currently on faculty in the Youth & Teen Program at ODC. Lindsay holds a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
