The director and teachers at ABA believe in training the whole student. To that end, we will be compiling links to articles and other resources that may help you as a dancer.

Dance Wear

Just a friendly reminder, dance wear is for purchase at the studio before and after classes only. Please do not try to purchase during rehearsal times, it is just too chaotic to conduct rehearsal and sell dance wear. Thank you for your help with this, it is much appreciated.

If you’re looking for dancewear and dance accessories, check out our ABA store!

Suggested Makeup for Performances

For the annual Spring Recital and for ACB’s Nutcracker, we will provide the make-up and hair accessories for the Boys, Pre-Ballet, Ballet 1 and Ballet 2 dancers.

This year we ask that the Ballet 3 dancers do their own recital make-up and hair at home, before arriving, to begin learning how to do this themselves.  We will send out some guidelines beforehand, and have someone(s) present at the studio to help with touch-ups, etc.  We will also have hairspray on hand as well. Please refer to the following make-up kit to see what supplies and colors are needed in your dancer’s matte (not shiny) make up supplies:

The only item missing is mascara – please be sure to have black mascara in your kit.

This kit of Ben Nye make-up is a good long-term investment if you are interested in having some quality stage make-up that will work for theater, dance and other performances.  You would choose the color option that most closely matches your dancer’s skin tone.  Thank you!
