Dear ABA Families,
I hope you are having a good summer & are gearing up for your return to ABA on August 21!
I would like to let you know that I have recently moved out-of-state (Hawaii!), but will continue my position remotely. You may see me during performance season, and will still receive regular communications from me. 🙂
To help with on-site duties, we have a wonderful new Office Manager, Susan Hughes, who you can read about below.
I will miss the ABA students dearly but know they are in good hands with with our new and returning teachers & staff. Hope to see you all soon!

Susan Hughes is delighted to join the ABA/ACB administrative team. She has called Alameda home since 2012. Raised in Annapolis, MD, she spent a decade in New York City as a performing artist with the Saratoga International Theatre Institute, followed by a two-year stint in Los Angeles. She has spent extensive time teaching, subbing, and volunteering in the Alameda school district, where her daughters attend Alameda High School. Susan earned her Master’s in Library and Information Science in December 2022, and is a recent hire at the San Leandro Public Library. She is looking forward to being a part of the upcoming Alameda Ballet Academy season.
